Overnight, thousands of Internet users began to follow her, as much for her great competence in horticulture as for her lively personality and her outspoken words!
Marthe has to her credit great horticultural works and novels. All of her books, published by Éditions de l'Homme, have been very successful and have been reprinted! Marthe offers various conferences, and has created two first shows, Le bikini and Les hôpitaux, which are now offered online on her website.
In the summer of 2021, she will perform her first official storytelling show directed by Jean-Michel Anctil. She will travel across Quebec in 2022 and 2023 with this show entitled Moi c'est Marthe, toi c'est qui?
Grandmother of Jeanne, a child suffering from Rett syndrome, a rare disease that requires constant care, Marthe created the Marthe Laverdière Foundation with Marie-Christine, her daughter-in-law, Jeanne's mother. A portion of her fees are donated to the foundation.
