The author will present his most recent novel, Mille secrets mille dangers published by Le Quartanier and finalist for the Prix des libraires and the Prix des collégiens in 2022. For the occasion, the public will be invited to a discussion led by essayist Maxime Catellier and the reading of excerpts will be interwoven with music by multidisciplinary artist Rosaline Deslauriers.
Alain Farah, born in Montreal in 1979 to Lebanese parents from Egypt, is a Literature professor at McGill University. With Le Quartanier, he published Mille secrets mille dangers (2021), Pourquoi Bologne (2013), Matamore nº 29 (2008) and Quelque chose se détache du port (2004). He also authored an essay, Le gala des incomparables : invention et résistance chez Olivier Cadiot et Nathalie Quintane, published in 2013 by Classiques Garnier, and a graphic novel, La ligne la plus sombre, in collaboration with Mélanie Baillairgé, published by La Pastèque in 2016.
