Free Sunday | December 1

On Sunday, December 1, les Amis des Jardins invite you to celebrate the arrival of winter by walking along our trails. After your walk in the forest, take refuge in the warmth for a violin concert by Marie-Édith Racine, accompanied on the piano by Michel-Alexandre Broekaert.

The Garden trails will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The activities will take place in the Aire Desjardins of the Great Hall:

  • 1:30 p.m. – Concert by Marie-Édith Racine with Elsie’s violin. She will be accompanied by the talented pianist Michel-Alexandre Broekaert. The program includes holiday classics by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Amy Beach.
  • Fred's famous fried donuts, hot chocolate and coffee will be offered to warm your heart.

  • Gardens Christmas mini-market: books, calendars, plant seeds and more — please your gardening friends who are already planning to get their hands dirty next spring.

Until december 15, the Gardens have been hosting the exhibition Faux-plis par hypothèses, a collective exhibition curated by Louise Déry, director of the Galerie de l'UQAM, and Marie-Hélène Leblanc, director of the Galerie UQO. The project, supported by Quebec's chief scientist, highlights the unique role of the university gallery and initiates reflection on the relationship between art and science.
