About the Musician
Gabriel Dionne is a noted percussionist who has been sharing his love of the xylophone for decades.
A native of Mont-Joli, he obtained a First Prize in percussion from the Rimouski Music Conservatory and a master's degree from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston. A grant holder from the Conseil des Arts and the FCAR, he has participated in numerous advanced training courses, including the Grand Teton’s Orchestral Seminar, in Wyoming, and the Los Angeles Orchestral Institute. The duration of each performance is approximately 45 minutes.
The public is invited to come have a picnic to the sound of music. If it rains, performances take place in the Aire Desjardins of the Great Hall.
On the first Sunday of the month, residents of the province of Quebec can enjoy free admission to Les Jardins de Métis. This program is made possible by a grant from the government of Quebec through its free access measure to museum institutions.
