Catherine Perrin and Pierre Thibault are our guest for a conversation on La Véranda, the architectural work created in 2021 to offer a performance space for artists a place which brings us joy.
Beauty is not a luxury to afford once you have solved all of society's problems; it can be thought of upstream, and become a factor of protection and well-being. This is the bet of the architect Pierre Thibault and his accomplice, the host and author Catherine Perrin.
For a year, they visited inspiring places, including the Jardins de Métis, where the architect has left his mark for more than twenty years. They return to share their thoughts, a vision of the world where beauty serves the common good.
Habiter en Beauté, Ces lieux qui nous font du bien is the fruit of their collaboration. The book that was published last fall has earned praise from critics and readers. It is available at the Garden Shop.
The event is one of several to highlight the 25th anniversary of the International Garden Festival. It is free for the members of Les Amis des Jardins de Métis and for people who have paid their entrance fee to the Jardins de Métis.
Reservation is not required.
