Moving between site-specific installation and performative practice, Comportements poétiques is a four-hour journey that evokes the intentional use of the imaginary (Enghauser, 2007) at a time of significant upheaval. In a dialogue between unveiling and disappearance, the performance unfolds like a waltz of contemplation, entwining physicality with dormancy, dazzle with slowness. Laid out on the grounds of the Gardens, the installation is penetrated, brushed against and flown over. The performance, created right in the gardens and supported by artist Penélope Desjardins, appears and exists in a relay between witnesses: some will remember the whole thing, most just a few minutes. Reflecting on our ability to experience through the entanglement of the living, the community and the aesthetic gesture, the artist invites you to document the experience through an interactive performance programme: a hybrid object between a collection of poems and a cartography of performance. At the crossroads of physical experience, magnetic space and spectator intimacy, comportement poétique offers an incursion into individual and collective memory, a perch through which the imagination can be freed.
