In line with the emergence of discourses on a crisis of sentience (Zhong Mengual and Morizot, 2018), it is possible to observe various fields of study that encapsulate the values of cohabitation between the living. Eco-somatic approaches to movement, which we might think of as inherited from somatic education, performance and post-modern and contemporary dance practices, seem to fit directly into this current of thought that informs our relationships to the world, to the living and the non-living, in different ways. Somewhere between a sensitive stroll and an intentional stroll, Errance Jardinière is an invitation to exchange ideas with the Jardins de Métis, an ecosomatic practice that aims to weave imagination with sensation, movement with place. Inspired in particular by Nayla Naoufal's reflections on Landscape as Pedagogy (2020), the aim is to encounter the site, discover its charge, multiply its meanings and unfold its narratives. To respond to the invitations of our bodies and the environment, the artist invites you to wear comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor play.
This activity is free with the purchase of daily access to the Jardins de Métis (purchase must be completed upon registration). Members of Les Amis des Jardins de Métis must present their valid membership card at the entrance to the site.
