«To put on our Winter Wonderland Sunday, we must spend many hours snow-blowing in order to open our summer parking lot for winter visitors. This event is part of a spring ritual to celebrate the longer hours and warm sunshine of early spring, and a gift to families and children in need of the great outdoors to cap the end of March break. Over the years, we have hosted everything from Irish music in the greenhouses to a vintage Bombardier snow taxi, snow castles and Percheron horses pulling sleighs, with temperatures ranging from -25 °C to + 10 °C. Over the years, Winter Wonderland has provided us an opportunity of offering hundreds of visitors a chance to visit the gardens during the last phase of their hibernation before they come back to life. This year we are opening the Great Hall to provide a bit of indoor warmth and comfort to complement the outdoor activities. Join us on Sunday, March 5 for a touch of winter, a hint of spring and a warm embrace in the beauty of the gardens.»
