2012-07-24

On Sunday, August 5, the Fondation des Jardins de Métis will receive for the second consecutive year Marc-André Jetté and Patrice Demers with sommellière Marie-Josée Beaudoin from the now famed Les 400 Coups to benefit the International Garden Festival. A dozen members of their kitchen brigade will join the chefs for this special evening. They will prepare a five-course meal inspired by the horticultural collections of the Reford Gardens with a selection of wines.

Tickets are on sale for $200 (which includes a donation receipt for $130). The chefs’ menu will feature local products and some of the spectacular culinary creations for which the restaurant has become famous since opening in 2010. Les 400 coups was named one of the 10 best new restaurants by enRoute magazine. To reserve call 418-775-2221, x 230 sylvain.legris@jardinsdemetis.com.

This special culinary evening is made possible by the special collaboration of the SAQ who are collaborating for their second year as the primary sponsor of the event. All of the wines were selected (and available at the Mont-Joli boutique) by sommelière Marie-Josée Beauudoin in collaboration with the SAQ team.

The proceeds from the evening will be matched by 150% by the Mécénat Placements Culture program of the government of Québec to encourage private and public support of arts organizations. The evening’s objective will result in an addition of $32,500 to the endowment and reserve fund of the Fondation des Jardins de Métis for the International Garden Festival.
