Safe and free access to the Park this winter

2019-02-21

In recent years, the trails of the Mitis River Park are increasingly used during the cold season and the trend is only continuing. For new visitors, you will be charmed by the bucolic winter landscape offered by these hikes ranging from 500 meters to 3.5 km, snowshoeing or even walking. As the entrance can only accommodate a few vehicles at most, steps have been taken to offer full parking for the winter period, in addition to an already free access to our trails.

We are pleased to announce that with financial support from the Mitis River Regional Park, you will be able to park your vehicle near the main entrance of the trails safely! The barrier will remain open until Park employees return for the summer, in early May. Note that the 2019 season cards are now available online here.

Once again, thank you to the Mitis River Regional Park Management Committee for this important support, which allows hikers in the region to have safe access to their Park. Come and enjoy the winter atmosphere, for a walk in nature or to observe the many birds that live there.
