Twice Upon a Garden won the ARTV People's Choice Award of the 28th FIFA

Il était deux fois un jardin / Twice upon a garden, the beautiful film of Philip Baylaucq about the Reford Gardens and the International Garden Festival, won the ARTV People’s Choice Award at the 28th International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) recently presented in Montreal. This recognition will help the film travel around the world to discover one of the most beautiful gardens in North America.

The international Prize winners’ Tour of the FIFA will begin in Quebec City on April 14 at the Musée national de beaux-arts du Québec, and continue its run in Boston, New York, Washington, Paris and London at such prestigious institutions as the Louvre and Tate Modern. At the FIFA Matinées at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in the fall of 2010, film-lovers will get the chance to see the prizewinning films of the 28th edition.

Il était deux fois un jardin / Twice upon a garden will be presented on Télé-Québec on September 6 at 9 pm and throughout the summer at the Estevan Lodge at the Reford Gardens. The DVD of the film, which includes photos of the gardens by Louise Tanguay and archival photos of Elsie Reford, is on sale for $19.95 from the online store of the Reford Gardens.
