The International Garden Festival featured in the latest issue of Landscape Architecture magazine

2009-11-05
The International Garden Festival is the subject of a feature article in Landscape Architecture, the magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects. The article appears in the November issue and is written by Université de Montréal professors Bernard St-Denis (who designed a garden for the inaugural edition of the Festival in 2000) and Peter Jacobs.

The 10-page article says “the festival has grown into a bona fide institution” and describes the “astounding array of original, insightful, refreshing, and playful propositions”. It lauds the Festival for having “raised fundamental questions about gardens and the relationship of garden making and art from its inception in 2000”. It presents ten of the more than 100 gardens of the Festival, including some of the feature articles from past editions and highlights of the 2009 Festival.
