2009-10-07
Les Jardins de Métis/Reford Gardens and its International Garden Festival have been recognized as one of the great gardens of America in a new book written by Tim Richardson and recently published in the United Kingdom. Great Gardens of America features twenty-five gardens in the United States and Canada. Les Jardins de Métis/Reford Gardens and its International Garden Festival are one of just two gardens in Canada included in this prestigious new book (the other being Les Quatre Vents, the garden created by Francis H. Cabot in La Malbaie, Québec). It is featured alongside such gardens as Monticello in Virginia, Longwood Gardens in Philadelphia, Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, D.C. and Huntington Botanical Gardens in California.
