CONTEMPORARY GARDENS Le dernier petit cochon photo: Nancy Guignard photo: Nancy Guignard photo: Nancy Guignard DESIGNER / APPAREIL ARCHITECTURE YEARS OF EXHIBITION / 2019 – 2021 THEME TERRAINS DE JEU photo: Nancy Guignard Project description The installation Le dernier petit cochon offers visitors an opportunity to venture into the imagination of a well-known tale (Three Little Pigs), this time in the skin of the big bad wolf. Collaborator: Gilles Roy, stonemason If the grass field and the wooden path are traversed without difficulty, it is quite different for the brick structure, well anchored at the edge of the forest. The outcome is inevitable: the only way to get there is to go through the chimney. In the process of discovery, explorers will enjoy unexpected points of view on the forest, mixing occasional glimpses of light with games of reflection. DESIGNER / APPAREIL The team of designers is composed of members of the APPAREIL Architecture firm, based in Montreal. The multidisciplinary team includes architects, designers and architects technologists. All are interested in a timeless architecture, strongly inspired by our roots. To design a coherent whole, the team questions the scale of every project, from the building envelope to the furniture. The signature is minimalist and contemporary, strongly inspired by Nordic roots. The built work reflects a desire to find a balance between tradition and modernity. photo: Martin Bond crédit photo: Félix Michaud crédit photo: Félix Michaud crédit photo: Félix Michaud crédit photo: Félix Michaud crédit photo: Martin Bond crédit photo: Martin Bon crédit photo: Martin Bond crédit photo: Martin Bond Return to the festival page
